Lassen Varsity baseball took on Yreka and came away with 2 wins.
In game 1 Lassen beat Yreka 3-1. Pitching for Lassen was Joey Beck. Beck had 13 strike outs, 1 walk and gave up 5 hits.
At the plate for Lassen Colby Chavez had a double, Daniel Perry had a base hit and an RBI, Joey Beck had a base hit, a double and 2 RBI’s, Jarrell Cunningham, Logan Loflin and Tyler Winn all had a base hit a piece.
In game 2 Lassen beat Yreka 9-8 in the bottom of the 7th inning. Pitching for Lassen were Ryan Sharpe, Jarrell Cunningham and Garrison Collier. Sharpe had 5 strike outs, 3 walks and gave up 9 hits. Cunningham gave up 3 hits, Collier had 1 strike out.
At the plate for Lassen in the bottom of the 7th, Joey Beck walked, Ryan Sharpe bunted and was safe at first and advanced Beck, Garrison Collier hit a ball to right field that wasn’t caught and Beck scored to win the game. Daniel Perry had a double and 2 RBI’s, Colby Chavez, Garrison Collier, Jarrell Cunningham, Nate Freeman and Logan Loflin all had a base hit.
Lassen travels to Yreka Friday.
