Lassen Volcanoes Hosting ‘Lava Flow Swim Meet’ July 5th and 6th

Get ready for a splash! The Lassen Volcanoes are set to host their 2nd Annual Lava Flow Invitational Swim Meet on Saturday and Sunday, July 5th and 6th.

This exciting USA Swimming sanctioned event will welcome eligible swimmers from across Northeastern California and Nevada, all vying for victory in 62 races over the two-day competition.

Action kicks off bright and early each day, with races beginning at 9:00a.m. The event will take place at the Honey Lake Valley Community Pool, located at 800 South Street, in Susanville.

Beyond the thrilling races, attendees can also look forward to a silent auction on Saturday, featuring fantastic items generously donated by local merchants and individuals. Food options will be plentiful throughout the weekend, with a snack bar and several local food vendors on site.

At last year’s Lava Flow Swim Meet

The Lassen Volcanoes anticipate a strong turnout, with over 250 swim families expected to participate in this year’s invitational. The public is invited to attend and cheer on the swimmers; there is no admission fee.
