Is your player ready to step into the net and shine? Lassen Youth Soccer is hosting an exciting Goalie Training Session on Saturday, August 8th, at Ranch Park in Susanville.
This unique clinic is open to the public for all players in grades second and up, and you do not need to be an LYS player to participate. Coaches are also encouraged to come and learn alongside their athletes.
The clinic will be led by Len Findlay, a former professional soccer player and current Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Chico State University. Participants will have the chance to train with a collegiate coach, develop solid fundamentals, enhance their confidence, and gain invaluable experience just in time for the upcoming season.
Whether your player is brand new to the position or looking to level up existing skills, this hands-on session is designed for goalkeepers of all experience levels.
Participants should bring water and goalie gloves if they already have them.
Two separate sessions will be offered based on grade level:
- The first session runs from 10:00a.m. to 11:15a.m. for athletes in 2nd through 6th grade.
- The second session takes place from 11:30a.m. to 1:00p.m. for players in 7th grade and up, and adults are welcome to join as well.
The fee is $35 per player, which includes attendance for both the player and their coach.
