Lassen Youth Soccer is a non-profit organization that develops, promotes and administers the game of soccer for the youth of Lassen County which includes the areas of Susanville, Johnstonville, Litchfield, Standish, Janesville, Herlong and Doyle.
Each year over 700 boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 18 participate on recreational and competitive soccer teams. All youth play on teams within their age division.
Local soccer players get a chance to play in two seasons – the fall season last 9 weeks from the last week in August to the end of October. The spring league season is shorter, only 6 weeks long. It begins mid-April through May. The playing fields for the spring season are smaller, the teams are co-ed with fewer players per team, and there is less of a time commitment (2-3 days/week). The intent is to get the kids more touches on the ball, keep interest through the year and to give the kids another opportunity to get out and play.
