The Susanville Police Officer’s Association and Lassen Family Services are teaming up to collect prom dresses and suits for our local students and police officer Terra Avilla is ready to lose some hair for the cause!

Many local students cannot afford to rent a tux or buy a dress and miss the once in a lifetime opportunity to attend their senior prom. The police association and LFS are collecting gently used or new prom attire, and for every 75 items collected School Resource Officer Terra Avilla will cut off an inch of her hair.

Officer Avilla will have her hair cut at the end of Friday’s drop-off event at Susanville Supermarket IGA.

To help send kids to the prom you can drop off dresses at Lassen family services or clothing will be collected again Friday, March 25th, at Susanville Supermarket from 4:00 until 6:00p.m. Gift cards will be accepted also.
