Lassen Community College has announced that applications for the Licensed Vocational Nursing Program will be accepted starting April 1st through May 1st.
The program is open to all qualified applicants. Guided by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, the 10-month, full-time program is state-mandated to enroll no more than thirty students at one time.
How to Prepare
If you are interested in applying, there are several steps you can take right now to ensure you are ready when the window opens.
Prospective students should start by visiting the LCC Health Science & Medical Technology page to review program details and watch the mandatory informational video.
It is also important to meet with an LCC Counselor to begin your LVN Checklist and to have any official transcripts sent to Admissions & Records if you completed prerequisites at another institution.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must complete the following prerequisites:
- ENGL C1000: Academic Reading and Writing
- COMM C1000: Introduction to Public Speaking
- STAT C1000: Introduction to Statistics
- ES 1: Introduction to Ethnic Studies
- BIOL 21: Human Anatomy with Lab
- BIOL 22: Human Physiology with Lab
- PSY 18: Human Development – A life span
- AREA 3: 3 Units Required
