Lassen College’s Baseball Team, a group that is no stranger to community service, spent an entire day at Lassen County Toys for Tots toyland recently sorting, organizing and setting up toys and gifts on all the tables.
“These are some pretty amazing men right here,” said Toys for Tots organizer Terrie Ginder in a Facebook post. “We had the privilege of meeting and working with them today at toyland. They are hard working and very polite young men.”
“These guys came to toyland to help,” explains Ginder. “A job that normally takes days for us only took these hard working guys a few hours.”
“We truly can’t thank you enough. We appreciate all the time you donated and your hard work to help make toyland come alive and be ready for the giveaway day.”
Ginder also thanked Terra Avilla and LCC Baseball Coach Frank Avilla for making arrangements to have the team there to help.
