Leota Mae Wharton (Otie)
Leota Mae Wharton, also known to many as Otie, was born in Sacramento CA on December 8, 1920 and passed away November 17, 2015 in Susanville CA. Leota graduated from Lassen High School in 1939 and married her high school sweetheart there after, her late husband James L Wharton. Leota spent the majority of her years in Susanville where she raised her three sons. Leota lived a great life of almost 95 years. Many will remember her wit and sense of humor.
Leota leaves behind her sister Donna Webber, her children James, Scott, and Patrick. Her grandchildren James T., Kim, Randee and Haylee and her great grandchildren Raelin, Halle, Lincoln, Rylee and Tucker. As well as many great memories. A memorial celebration will be held in spring 2016.
