Lassen Family Services is once again teaming up with local law enforcement to help keep their community food pantry and donation closet stocked. The annual “Cram the Cruiser” event is set to return next Friday, March 6th, offering residents a convenient way to help neighbors who may be facing challenging times.
From 4:00 to 7:00p.m., officers and personnel from the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, the Susanville Police Department, the California Highway Patrol, and High Desert State Prison will be stationed at four local markets to collect non-perishable food donations.
Residents are encouraged to swing by the Susanville Supermarket IGA, the Susanville Grocery Outlet, Walmart, or Safeway to drop off items to help fill these cruisers to the brim. The donations collected will directly support the Lassen Family Services food pantry, which provides essential food boxes to families throughout the area.
This event is part of the broader support services offered by Lassen Family Services. In addition to their food pantry, the organization manages a Community Clothing Closet that provides both new and gently used clothing to individuals in need.
Those seeking assistance or looking to schedule a time to access the food pantry or the clothing closet can call Lassen Family Services at 1.530.257.4599. Appointments are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 8:00a.m. and 5:00p.m.
