LIHEAP Weather Bulletin: Heavy Snow Continues Until Tuesday Morning

Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a new Winter Weather Advisory for Lassen, eastern Plumas and eastern Sierra counties this morning as heavy snow is forecast to continue throughout the day and into Tuesday.

Here is Susanville the weather experts are predicting additional snow accumulations of between 3 and 8 inches between now and 4:00a.m. tomorrow.

Plan on slippery road conditions with highly variable snowfall rates of up to 2″ per hour. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Even light snowfall causes major travel delays, especially during periods of high traffic volume. Be sure to allow extra time to reach your destination. Leave extra space between vehicles since it takes longer to stop on slick roadways.

The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
