Linda was born in Susanville, Ca on September 6, 1953, and left this Earth far too soon on November 13, 2024.
Linda didn’t gain her angel wings that day, she already had them. Linda loved God, our Father and his Son, Jesus Christ and truly was an angel on this Earth. No matter what her personal struggles were, the needs of others far surpassed her own. If you were hungry, she found a way to feed you. If an animal was hurt, she nursed it back to health. If you just needed a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on, without a doubt, she was there!
Since her beginning, she was a devout animal lover. It didn’t matter the species; she saw a friend for life. Though, she was always partial to dogs and horses. Linda was a foster to many animals, always assuring they found the proper home before adopting out. Her animals were her children that she loved with every fiber of her being. Needless to say, with all the love she had to give to strangers and stray animals, her family was her everything.
Linda was a kind soul, loyal and loved with all her heart. Linda spent most of her life in Susanville with a stint in Kuna, Idaho. No matter where she was, she was always around animals and the first to volunteer for animal sitting. Linda worked for many years alongside her brother Randy at D & L Distributing as an office clerk. Upon retirement she spent her time rescuing cats and dogs.
Our family and Lassen County has truly lost an incredible woman. Linda is survived by her husband Mario, brothers Tom Givens (Jerri) of Susanville and Randy Givens (Terry) of Blackfoot, Idaho along with many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her father Ivan, mother Dorothy and brother Gail.
