Are you preparing to head off to college this fall? The Lassen Municipal Utility District wants to help lighten the load on your educational expenses. They have officially opened applications for the 2026 Community Scholarship program, which is designed to support local students as they pursue their academic and vocational goals.
The scholarship program is open to both graduating seniors and continuing college students whose primary residence is served by the district.
This year, LMUD is awarding $1,250 scholarships to two graduating seniors, along with a $500 scholarship for one continuing college student.
To apply, you can visit the district’s website at lmud.org to access the application form. The online portal allows you to easily upload your transcripts, personal essays and any other required supporting documentation.
Please keep in mind that all scholarship funds are paid directly to your chosen two-year, four-year or vocational institution.
