Lassen Municipal Utility District has officially announced the winners of its inaugural 2026 Student Art Safety Sticker Contest, showcasing the creative talents of several local young artists.
The winning designs will be transformed into stickers and distributed to students during the upcoming school year as part of LMUD’s student outreach.
LMUD Public Relations Manager Theresa Phillips expressed great enthusiasm for the community’s response to the new initiative.
“We are so excited to announce the winners of our very first Student Art Safety Sticker Contest!” Phillips said. “These talented young artists created incredible original designs that will soon be turned into stickers and shared with students next school year alongside our high-voltage safety demonstrations.”
Phillips also shared her gratitude for all of the students who participated in the contest.
“A huge congratulations to our winners—and a big THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to enter and share their creativity with us!” Phillips said.
Celebrating Our Local Young Artists
This year’s contest drew wonderful submissions from multiple grade levels across local schools. In the kindergarten division, honors went to Naomi Duerksen from Richmond Elementary and Ella Eloise Mae Rojas from Shaffer.
Shaffer students continued to sweep multiple categories, with second-grader Asher Elwell, third-grader Ellie Cain, and fourth-grader Linden Elwell all taking home top honors for their grade levels. Rounding out the list of talented winners is fifth-grader Julio Emmanual Ayalon-Galaviz representing Meadowview.
