Lassen Municipal Utility District will begin work on a project that will rebuild the eight and a half mile stretch of electrical transmission line between Johnstonville and Standish.
The project, which is part of LMUD’s continuing plan of improving system reliability, is scheduled to begin the week of February 10th and is expected to be completed in approximately 3 to 4 months.
Due to the extent of the project, drivers traveling between Johnstonville and Standish on Hwy 395 East, may experience some traffic delays. Please watch for construction crews and equipment.
According to Energy Services Manager Theresa Phillips crews may have to temporarily interrupt power to customers who reside in the construction zone. Every effort will be made to notify customers in a timely manner should that need arise.
“Due to the extent of the project, LMUD crews will not be performing the work,” explains Phillips, “LMUD has contracted with Wilson Construction to do all required work.”
