Lassen High Trouble Shooting Team Wins First in Sacramento

Bill Counts, regional sales manager of Sun Electric Co., presents the Plymouth Trouble Shooting Contests first place trophy to Tom T. Weeks, instructor Dewayne Blevins and Ralph R. Dresel. This team from Lassen High School took top honors in the contest held at El Camino High School in Sacramento on May 4th and will compete at Indianapolis in the national finals on June 14, 15 and 16.
Weeks, Dresel and Belvins will have all their expenses paid by the Plymouth Motor Division of the Chrysler Corporation. Prizes totaling $125,000 will be distributed among the winners at the nationals.
Weeks and Dresel turned in the highest written exam score and also a near-perfect mechanical examination to win over other trouble shooting teams from schools from the Sacramento area north to the Oregon border.
