Susanville Rotary Club Charter Presentation Tomorrow

Headed by Bob Douglas, president and Andy Haight, past president, Fallon Rotary Club will arrive in Susanville tomorrow on No. 6 on a special car. The Fallon Rotary Club will be accompanied by a large delegation of Reno Rotarians.
The occasion for this visit to Susanville will be the charter presentation to Susanville Rotary Club No. 2088 which has been sponsored by Fallon Rotary. A charter was granted last December but the presentation has been delayed until the opening of the new Hotel Mt. Lassen.
The charter presentation will take place in the dining room of the Hotel Mt. Lassen and is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. The program to be presented is as follows:
Song, Star Spangled Banner by entire assembly. 2. Address of welcome, Hon. H. D. Burroughs. 3. Response by Marshall DeMotte, President of Rotary Club of Corning. 5. Musical number, Maudie and Emma Grace Tremaine. 6. Presentation of Charter by District Governor Tom Bridges. 7. Response by John Spalding, President of Rotary Club of Susanville. 8. Musical number, Vaudeville Skit, courtesy Charlie Adams of T. & D. Theatres. 9. Presentation of Flag by Heine Cooper of Rotary Club of Reno. 10. Response by H. A. McBride of Rotary Club of Susanville. 11. Presentation of Code of Ethics by Milt Wallace of Rotary Club of Fallon. 12. Response by Gus Pardee of Rotary Club of Susanville. 13. Musical number, song and dance by Miss Paulyne Gillette. 14. Presentation of Gavel by Carl Dodge of Rotary Club of Fallon. 15. Response by Merle Collins of Rotary Club of Susanville. 16. Song “America” by the entire assembly. 17. Dancing.
Inasmuch as Andy Haight was president of the Fallon Rotary Club when the charter was granted to Susanville he will have charge of the meeting tomorrow night instead of Bob Douglas who is the present president.
The Fallon Rotarians are bringing their wives with them as well as most of the Reno delegation and a large crowd of Nevadans will be here.
Some of the members of the Fallon Club are golfers and have written to Rotarian Tom Blight of Susanville who has arranged for D. E. McClure, Neil Griffin, Al Breitwieser and H. A. McBride to put on a friendly tournament.
