METHODIST CENTENNIAL—Members of the Coleman family, pictured above, are ready to celebrate at the Susanville United Methodist Church Centennial this weekend.

Pictured from left are Mervin and Lynette Coleman and children, Alison and Stephanie.

To start the activities, church families will decorate their cars and parade down Main Street between 1:30 and 2:00p.m. Saturday.

Following this will be an open house with an art and artifacts display at the church. Children in the church school have been busy drawing and painting to depict life 100 years ago in Susanville. The families of the church are gathering their 100-year-old home and church articles for a very interesting historical display.

Saturday evening’s program includes a buffet dinner and a light and sound show in the Fellowship Hall. Sunday’s church service will continue the Centennial theme, “Standing in the living present, with memory and hope between,” with Bishop Tippett (retired) delivering the message. A reception will follow.
