Swickard Captures Pro-Am Win

A change of scenery didn’t slow down Reno amateur golfer Tom Swickard.
For the second week in a row, Swickard – winner of the last three Mapes Invitationals – took top honors in the weekly Sierra Nevada Pro-Am Golf Association tournament.
Swickard carded an even-par 72 here Monday at Emerson Lake Golf Course to lead all entries.
Hidden Valley assistant pro Pat McCleary was the low pro, carding a 73. He was trailed by Sacramento’s Ed Weck (75) and host Rollie Emerson of Susanville (84).
