LMUD Presents: This Day in Susanville History – April 2, 1974

Property  Identification
April 2, 1974

PROPERTY IDENTIFICATION – The Susanville Police Reserves are conducting a property identification program. Using this program, a person will be able to keep a permanent record of his or her valuables.

This is for everyone’s protection as well as proper identification in the event of theft or loss.

This service is provided free through the Police Reserve organization.

Another service offered free of charge to the public is the use of an electric engraving pencil whereby a person may mark his or her property. Vera Hall of the City Clerk’s office is shown engraving an adding machine under the watchful eye of Patrolman and Reserve Supervisor Bill Kauffman.

Kauffman urges everyone to remember that most recovered property is not readily identifiable unless properly marked and recorded. For further information or use of these services, contact the Susanville Police Department. (Advocate Photo).
