CONTEST WINNER—A panel of five judges selected Little Miss Lassen County and her two princesses at the fairgrounds last Saturday afternoon. The 10 semi-finalists, shown in the top photo, were in the front row, from left, Kristi Anding, Amber Hopper, Debbie Kringler, Tracy Carter, Lisa Clark.

The winners will be crowned at special entertainment ceremonies at the fairgrounds on Friday, May 10th, at 6:30p.m. The contest is sponsored yearly by the Gamma Lambda Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority of Susanville.
The winners will reign over the Lassen County Youth Fair May 10-14 and make appearances during the county fair in August. (Lassen College Photo Department photos).
Little Miss Lassen County
Ten-year-old Judy Smith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Smith of Standish and is in the fifth grade at Shaeffer Elementary in Litchfield.
First runner-up was 10-year-old Bobbi Bass, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bass of Standish. Bobbi is also a fifth grade student at Shaeffer Elementary. Seven-year-old Kristi Anding placed as a second runner-up in the contest. Kristi is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Anding of Susanville and is in the first grade at McKinley School in Susanville.
