Speed Boat is Used on Honey Lake
April 5, 1938

Last Sunday a speed boat plowed through the waters of Honey Lake for the first time in twenty years.

Howard Thronhill and John Berglund, owners of the boat, with Mrs. Berglund, Kenneth Doyle and Leon Millsap enjoyed a day of motorboat riding, traveling through all three different sections of the lake, which are connected by passageways. The boat is powered by an outboard motor.

Many boat enthusiasts are planning boating on Honey Lake. The lake has been dry for the past twenty years. The level of the lake is reported to be rising every day.

Ranchers who had fenced the lake bottom are having to remove their fences.
