JUNIOR RODEO ROYALTY, from left, princesses, Glenda Wemple and Patsy Vasso and queen, Darlene Miller, make a preview inspection of the miniature log cabin, new attraction at the Lassen County Fair and Livestock Show opening today. The cabin, now on permanent location next to the outdoor gardens, was originally part of Lassen County’s first place feature booth at the Los Angeles County Fair at Pomona last fall. Darlene, Patsy and Glenda will serve as official hostesses throughout the five-day run of the fair.
Something for Everyone
FROM BOTTOM TO TOP, there will be something for everyone this weekend at the Lassen County Fair, say Darlene Miller, Patsy Vasso and Glenda Wemple. Just grab your hat, whether its western, logger’s hardhat or racing helmets, and be there. These three young ladies, all talented horsewomen who are the 1971 Lassen County Junior Rodeo royalty, are serving as official hostesses for this year’s fair and will present awards for all grandstand spectator events.
