Sixty Five Initiated into Realms of Black Cat

Sixty-five candidates were initiated into the Hoo-Hoos, national organization of lumbermen, at the concatenation held in Westwood Saturday evening. Besides the sixty-five kittens, more than a hundred old cats were there to participate in the curling.
At seven-thirty, a genuine lumberjack supper was served in the Masonic Temple, four courses coming at once and disappearing almost as rapidly.
Following the banquet, the men were entertained with several vocal solos by Mrs. Boyd of Westwood and a toe dance by Miss Matie Bennett. Miss Bennett encored with an acrobatic dance which drew heavy applause.
At nine oclock the stage was set in the Auditorium for the tail curling of the kittens and the procedure carried on until midnight. Of the sixty-five new Hoo-Hoos, thirty-five are from Susanville and the remainder from Westwood, Portola and Quincy.
