Susanville Scouts Get Annual Picnic
August 3, 1926

The Susanville boy and girl Scouts are taking their annual camping trip the first two weeks in August.

The Boy Scouts have gone to Silver Lake for the first 15 days of August in charge of Al Breitweiser and the other scout leaders. A large number of the Susanville boys are attending this camp for the entire period.

The Girl Scouts are in camp at Eagle Lake. Mrs. Estes, the scout leader, took 80 girls to Eagle Lake Sunday where they established camp at Gallatin beach. The girls will be in camp one week.

The Susanville community raised over $1200 to fix up the camp grounds for the boy and girl scouts. Permanent camps will be established for the boys at Siler Lake and the girls at Eagle Lake.
