Large Crowd Attends Grizzlies Homecoming Games
October 15, 1975
MORE THAN 1,000 PERSONS, some of whom are pictured above, were on hand at Arnold Field Saturday, Oct. 11, to watch a fine defensive football struggle between the Lassen High Grizzlies and the Pleasant Valley Vikings.
It was Homecoming Day at Lassen High and the Grizzlies sent the crowd home happy with a 7-0 varsity game win after the Lassen JVs had fallen 22-0.
It was the Eastern Athletic League opener for the Grizzlies who increased their overall record to an impressive 5-0. The lone score of the game came with 41 seconds left in the third quarter when Scott Langley threw an end screen pass to Tom Foster who hurled the ball down field to Steve Montgomery for a 54-yard touchdown. Langley then kicked the PAT. (Advocate photo).
