Lassen Court Dismisses Case
February 13th, 1941

Charges of misconduct in office filed against C. W. Morrill, Lassen county coroner and public administrator by the 1940 Lassen county grand jury, were dismissed by Superior Judge A. K. Wylie of Modoc County in a brief oral opinion delivered from the bench at the conclusion of the three-day, non-jury trial here yesterday afternoon.

The court declared there was no merit to the accusations made against the county officer, whom it was sought to oust from office.

Judge Wylie sat for Judge Ben V. Curler of the local court.

Two other members of the county official family, indicted by the same grand jury on the recommendation of Wisier, were acquitted by superior juries late last year.
