Community Digs Out from Heavy Weekend Snow
February 14, 1975
Susanville residents joined with other communities in Northeastern California this week to dig out from the heavy snow which started Friday and continued through Tuesday. Precipitation has been light Wednesday and Thursday with warmer temperatures during the day that aided state, county and city employees in their snow removal jobs that continued around the clock.
The photo shows the approximately 35ft. canopy of the State CafΓ© which collapsed on S. Gay Street Monday night. The lower scene is on Nevada Street looking west from the Lassen Street intersection.
