Plans for Junior College Alumni Association
February 18, 1939
Instructors at Lassen Junior College and alumni of the college are making arrangements for the formation of a J. C. Alumni Association, which will hold its first meeting in the assembly room of the high school, Thursday, March 2nd, at 8:00p.m.
Many old students have seen the need for a group of this kind. They plan to sponsor a drive for general betterment of the college, as well as to renew old friendships.
Lassen J. C. has risen from “pup” to a full fledged scholastic institution, since its founding 13 years ago. At the time of institution there were only a few students enrolled in Junior College, now with well over 100 students on the membership rolls, the college has become an integral part of the local school system.
“Old Grads” say other junior colleges and colleges benefit from an active alumni association and various Lassen alumni have voiced their opinion that the local college should have such an organization.
