Susanville Judge Believes in Justice Without Favor
February 2, 1948
Harold Bradford, the new city judge, administers justice without favor.
He levied fines totaling $12.50 for the third and fourth parking violations by the same motorist – then dug down and paid them himself because he was the violator.
He announced he would assess himself $20 for his next infraction of parking rules and would keep boosting the rate himself, “until I learn not to leave my car too long on Main Street.”
