12 Slot Machines Seized in Lassen
February 20th, 1950

Twelve slot machines were turned into the county sheriff’s office Sunday noon by Fred C. Franke, who presented credential showing he was from the state attorney general’s office. Mr. Franke had three assistants with him.

They did not sign any complaints or make any arrests on their one-day trip to Lassen County.

He has asked to store them in the Sheriff’s office for 30 days. He will return and destroy the machines at the end of that time if no one has claimed them he said.

No statement was made as to the purpose of the confiscations.
