Hotel is Sold at Susanville
February 26th, 1944

The St. Francis Hotel on Main street became the property of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Evans Monday, as the result of a sale by the Neuhause estate. Acting for the estate were Mrs. Florence Talbott and H. L. McMurphy through Attorney J. A. Pardee.

The property was bought by Evans for $50,000.

The new owner has been a contractor logger in Lassen County for a number of years. Improvements will include new manager quarters and refurbishing the restaurant, reupholstering and redecorating of the lobby.
