January 1, 1976

SUSANVILLE CAMP FIRE GIRLS are pictured above with Judge Arthur Anderson in the Superior Court during a tour they had of the Lassen County Courthouse Monday afternoon, Dec. 6.

Allan Henriques, a local attorney whose daughter is a member of the group, conducted the tour and showed the fifth and sixth graders the Superior and Justice Courts.

Henriques also introduced the girls to county officials including Judge Anderson, Court Reporter Craig Wilder and Deputy DA Don Macintyre, who will soon assume his recently elected position as Judge of the Lassen Consolidated Judicial District this week.

According to Cynthia Stout, the group’s leader, parents of the local Campfire Girls are encouraged to share their occupations and interests with the group and Henriques volunteered to show them the courthouse.

The name of the local group is Chesk Cha May, an Indian word meaning all friends.

Anderson told the group that Monday, which was Law and Motion Day, had a busy court docket of about 60 criminal and civil matters.

Pictured above, in front from left, are Kathy McQueen, Debbie Milton, Monica McDonald, Dalea Vetter, Kelly Alexander, and Angie Brown.
