Home Nursing Class Organized In Lassen
January 25, 1952

Twelve local women have signed up for an American Red Cross 14-hour home nursing course to be given from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The course instructor will be Mrs. Susie Smith of Johnstonville, who recently completed the home nursing training course given here.

Mrs. Don Soule, executive secretary for the Lassen county chapter of the Red Cross, said that all aspects of home nursing will be covered during the instruction, including taking care of the sick in the home, improvising treatment with materials at hand, following the doctor’s instructions, administering medicines properly and making the patient more comfortable.

She added that subsequent home nursing courses will be offered during the year, at varying times and days and under different instructors to give all interested women a chance to attend.
