Lassen College Staffs Herlong
Teach Night Class at Ordnance Depot
January 26, 1945
Besides keeping its regular schedule in spite of wartime shortages of teachers and students the Lassen junior college not only has maintained its regular activities but has also branched out into wartime activities. The junior college maintains a night school for adults of Susanville and in addition carries on classes at Herlong.
The school of business of Lassen junior college extends its activities Tuesdays and Thursdays to the Sierra ordnance depot at Herlong by giving classes in shorthand and typing to civilian clerical employees.
Consultation hours are held in the evenings of those two days for any special help civilian clerical employees might need.
It is anticipated that a two-hour class in military correspondence will get under way this month whether in the afternoon or the evening.
Classes are held in the personnel building at Herling and Gordon Fraser of Lassen junior college is the instructor.
