January 27, 1975

THREE SNOW SHOVELS have been donated to the Susanville Elementary Schools through the Susanville Parent Teachers Association by each of three local businesses: Millar Hardware, Paul Bunyan Lumber Company and Western Auto.

Custom candy striping on the handles was provided by the PTA. Three shovels will go to each school – McKinley, Washington and Diamond View.

Pictured with the shovels at the McKinley School are, from left, Kim Homes, Steven Farwell, Greg Wright, Gary Weiskirche, Mark Brewer, Dennis Grover, Jimmy Edwards, Tod Hess and Kim Saylor.

In the back row is Al Cooper, McKinley principal, Mrs. Janet Corey, PTA representative, and her son, Matthew. (Schullo photo)
