Mid Winter Fair Date Set for February
January 30, 1927

Lassen County’s first mid-winter fair will take place early in February, according to word received today from the headquarters of the Lassen County Fair Association.

The holding of this mid-winter fair is something of a novelty, and it is being staged by the Lassen County Fair Association for the multiple purpose of maintaining interest in the Fair Association; of affording public entertainment during an otherwise very quiet period in public affairs, and to provide funds to help defray overhead expenses of the Fair Association.

The mid-winter fair will be held at the Memorial Building, and will stage many interesting features. The general carnival spirit will prevail; the fair will last for two afternoons and two evenings; there will be vaudeville and other entertainment features; two novelty dances; poultry show, and a number of midway concessions.

The Fair Association will receive assistance of a large number of people in putting on the show and from enthusiasm with which the first announcement of the Fari was received it is expected that this first mid-winter fair will be distinctly successful.
