Fair Goes Underground
July 14, 1975

Lassen County Fair has gone underground with all of its electrical wiring and telephone lines. Ten new lamp posts, top photo, have been installed along the midway and all of the old wooden poles and overhead wires in the background are due to come down in the next few weeks.

Bottom photo, part of the fairgrounds staff puts the finishing touches on the electrical system, from right, Jack Bonham, maintenance foreman, Joe Edwards and Sherrie Towell, first woman gardener to be employed by the fair. (Lassen County Fair photos).
