Building at Susanville
July 4, 1893

Architect Curtis is hard at work on plans and specifications for the new Masonic Hall at Susanville. The building is to be of cut stone.

It will be 75 by 90 feet and two stories high – the first story 14 feet, and the second story 16 feet in the clear.

The Lassen county bank and two stores will occupy the lower story. The cost of the building will be about $18,000.

Mr. Curtis is also making plans for a new hotel of 40 rooms to be built by Dr. Knock, and of a store 36 by 130 feet for Alexander Brothers.
