Women Graduates

The Soroptimist International of Susanville had as their guests for luncheon on Tuesday, May 27, the women students who received AA degrees from Lassen Community College on Wednesday evening of this week. The luncheon was held at the St. Francis Hotel.
It was announced that the Soroptimist Memorial Scholarship of $500 had been awarded to Catherine Carver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Carver of Susanville, who will study biological sciences at Davis in the fall.
Pictured with the students are Soroptimists Ruth Henrickson and Mary Bengard. Also present at the luncheon was Bernadette Chavez, faculty member at Lassen College.
