Susanville Mall Sets Grand Opening
June 29, 1978
A GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION will be held at the recently completed Susanville Mall, 805 Main St., on Friday, June 16th and Saturday, June 17th. Mall developer Wayne Tezak said each merchant in the enclosed facility will have special events and special sales for the two-day event.
He said 25 free gifts will be awarded to children and there will be a free drawing for a television set. Free popcorn and soda will also be featured, according to Tezak.
The mall is the only enclosed shopping facility in town and Tezak says he invites all local residents to visit the modern, air conditioned stores.

Shops in the mall include Ri-Tone Color Center, Erins Craft Shop, the Phone Booth, Hair and Company Hair Styling and Larry Toland’s Prudential Insurance office. (Advocate and Schullo photos).
