

Local Woman Has Song Published, Featured at Fair

Mrs. May Delaney Streater, of 1914 Second Street, Susanville, has been in San Francisco for the past month, where she is receiving recognition for her latest song, published by the Sequoia Music Publishers of Los Angeles.
The song, “San Francisco Fair, “: has been given favorable mention by different music sections of the Golden Gate Exposition and is being featured by various schools, singers and clubs.
The leading shops of San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley are now displaying the song for sale at the regular price of 35c. Sherman & Clay, Baldwin Music company, John P. Broder, Waters and Ross and The Emporium in San Francisco are handling the sales of the song as are H. C. Capwell in Oakland, Tupper and Reed in Berkeley and the Southern Music Company and G. Sclurmir in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Streater has also an offer from a Washington, D. C. firm to make records of her songs, but has not considered it as yet.
Mr. Streater, who lives at 1914 Second Street, has some copies of the song. Mrs. Streater has offered to let some person in Susanville take the agency for her song in this vicinity and will make the proper financial arrangements with them. Anyone wishing to contact Mrs. Streater can get in touch with her husband if the are interested in handling the song.
The cover for the song is very attractive, with a picture of the Tower of the Sun in relief set upon the cover in a blue background.
