March 14, 1974

The Annual Gay Nineties Party held by the Soroptimist Club of Susanville will be held at the Msgr. Moran Hall on Saturday evening starting at eight o’clock. Music for dancing will be by Tony Farano Band and a delicious buffet will be served all evening.

Tickets for this fund-raising event, all of the proceeds of which will be used for local community service projects, may be purchased from any Soroptimist member or at the door.

The local club recently provided Lassen memorial Hospital with a bilirubin lamp, a blood exchange device for blue babies.

One of the featured of the evening will be two floor shows presented with the “Can Can Revue” sharing the spotlight with the “Gay Nineties Fashions” and the selection of “Miss Gay Nineties of 1974.”

Members of the Can Can group, pictured above from left, are Rita Keichline, Virginia Smith and Marlene Legenbauer.
