March 19th, 1923
The Lassen county chamber of commerce has just received 8000 new folders depicting the many attractions and advantages of Lassen County. It is entitled the “Lucky Land of Lassen,” and bears a cover design showing the erupting volcano of Mt. Lassen in the distance with typical Lassen pastoral scenes in the foreground.
The folder treats of the county’s history and growth, transportation facilities, lumber industry, opportunities for recreation, climate and agricultural possibilities. It contains an interesting article on Westwood, the lumbering town of 5000 people, that is owned and operated by one company.
It contains a road map of the northern section of the state, compiled by the Westwood Auto Club, which is very complete and will be a great value to tourists visiting these mountains.
These folders will be distributed through California Inc., and Calif. Development Board. Copies will be mailed gratis by Chamber of Commerce by request.
