LMUD Presents: This Day in Susanville History – March 26, 1980

Janesville 5th Graders to Present Play Thursday
March 26, 1980

CHARACTERS FROM “OLIVER TWIST” will come alive in Janesville tomorrow night, when fifth graders at Janesville school present the musical play. Actors and singers practiced their parts during dress rehearsals this week.

Lee Hemphill, left front, will play Fagin, while Jennifer Nobles, right front, will play Nancy. Other characters will include, rear, from left, Jonathan Archer, Oliver; Paul Leonard as Charlie Bates; and Aaron Fouch as one of Fagin’s boys.

Other members of the fifth grade class fill out various other roles in the production which runs just over an hour. Stage hands as well have been taken from the class ranks.

The play will be presented in classrooms 3 and 4. Seating will be limited.
