Property holders in the Winchester addition, whose premises were flooded when high water overflowed the banks of Susan river recently are subscribing to a private fund to have the river bed dredged and a levee built along the banks high enough to prevent any future flooding of their ground and homes, it was reported here this week.

Charles Evans has begun the work of repairing roads and other damage done during the recent high water, for which work the residents of that section are subscribing $700.

During the recent high water, when the ground in that section was flooded, a few residents moved from their homes.
