Volunteers Assist in Susanville Recycling Program

Approximately 30 volunteers showed their interest in the recycling program which was started by Lassen College students when they volunteered their help at the college parking lot on Saturday where a receiving station has been maintained.
The volunteers sort out aluminum cans, tin cans and bottles with the materials eventually expected to find their way into the production of new items.
Shown in the picture are Steve Cornell, Carol McCreery, Dick Harlow and Cookie Diggs. If a sufficient number of volunteers can be obtained the program will be continued through the summer.
