Lassen Motor Parts Building Completed
November 17, 1971

LASSEN MOTOR PARTS, 1289 Main St., owned by Ron Porter, will be moving on Monday into the 5,760 sq. ft. addition which has just been completed.

The new steel building addition with a brick facing on Main Street is 48×120 feet. The former building, 28×116 feet, will serve as a warehouse. The parking area on the east side of the building will provide room for about 15 vehicles.

The concrete and masonry work for the building was done by Lassen Masonry of Susanville, and the parking area was done by Basic Rocks Products, also of Susanville. The steel building was erected by Far West Construction of Carson City.

Porter has owned Lassen Motor Parts, area NAPA jobber, since 1965. He also owns Modoc Motor Parts at Alturas which is managed by Russell E. Milton, formerly of Susanville. The firm is planning an open house at a later date. (Advocate photo).
