Lassen County Ships Apples to Los Angeles

Lassen County has just shipped one carload of apples to Los Angeles. The Janesville Fruit department through their chairman, Will Day, was able to sell a carload of boxed apples to a Los Angeles firm.
The members of the Janesville center have been getting the apples boxed and graded and into the car this week. The car is on the road to Los Angeles at the present time.
This is the first carload of apples to be shipped from Lassen County for more than 10 years.
The new interest in the apple industry has caused several thousand trees to be planted during the past two years and the fruit department was formed this year. Cooperative purchaser of box shook, standardization and cooperative selling of apples have bent he aim of the organization. This is the first sale accomplished by the organization.
