SMA Presents Sales Course to Lassen High School
October 20, 1974

FRED ZUEHLKE, president of the Susanville Merchants Association, center, learns “How to Present the Merchandise” from a special sales course donated to Lassen High School by SMA.

The course is used by Department Head Terry Rieger and Instructor Mike Gibbs in their business office classes.

The course consists of cassettes and outlines telling retail clerks how to be most helpful to customers. Other parts of the course are directed toward office equipment and skills.

Zuehlke was joined by SMA members Carl Cobel and Cecil Webb. Rieger is reviewing some of the materials in the new student store at Lassen High, Bear Necessities.

The store sells students supplies, specialized clothing and candy during selected hours of the day. Pictured from left, Webb, Cobel, Zuehlke, Rieger and Gibbs. (Schullo photo).
