Susanville Police Take Down Juvenile Burglary Ring
October 24, 1972
NEARLY $2000 in radios, tape recorders and other miscellaneous items are examined by Officer Jack Burk of the Susanville police, who cracked the juvenile burglary ring responsible for some 16 separate cases of burglary or property theft and damage in the Susanville area.
The police arrested two other members of the gang Wednesday night, bringing the total arrests in the case to four. The youths were cited over to the probation department.
In all the police estimate that between $1,500 and $2,000 worth of property was recovered, which does not include figures on the bikes, cycles and cars taken by the youths. A very rough overall figure on the value of all stolen items was placed at around $10,000. (Advocate photo).
